Heal Social Foundation operates Project Rihla, an innovative after-school and weekend learning program serving 50 students in the under-resourced areas of Shah Faisal Colony and Korangi in Karachi, Pakistan. Our mission focuses on providing foundational education, vocational training, and digital literacy to students who face various learning challenges, with a special emphasis on creating inclusive learning environments.
Through our collaboration with ElevenLabs, we've revolutionized how we deliver educational content. By converting written materials into multilingual audio formats, we've made learning more accessible and engaging for all our students—particularly those with learning disabilities, language barriers, and visual impairments.
Our ElevenLabs integration helps us:
Transform lesson materials into bilingual audio content (English and Urdu)
Create voice-based exercises for language practice
Build an offline audio library for students without reading support at home
Make vocational training more accessible through natural, warm narration
Hafsa, a determined young student and the first visually impaired participant in our Rihla Vocational Training Program, exemplifies the transformative power of accessible technology. Traditional written materials and worksheets were completely inaccessible to her, creating significant barriers to her educational journey.
Through our partnership with ElevenLabs, we transformed Hafsa's learning experience by converting written lectures, worksheets, and educational materials into engaging audio content. Using ElevenLabs' natural voice technology, we created:
Bilingual audio lessons in both English and Urdu with familiar, warm narration
Interactive audio worksheets that guide students through exercises step-by-step
Accessible vocational training materials for computer skills and other practical subjects
The transformation in Hafsa's engagement has been remarkable. What once seemed like insurmountable barriers became gateways to learning. She became so connected to the experience that she expressed wanting to "talk to the voice" and eagerly anticipates each new audio class.
This breakthrough demonstrates how technology can create truly inclusive education—where students with visual impairments don't just participate, but thrive alongside their peers.

Hafsa's success story is just the beginning. Through ElevenLabs' support, Heal Social Foundation is building a comprehensive audio library that will serve current and future students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that every student has access to quality education regardless of their abilities.
"With courage in her heart and technology by her side, Hafsa is paving the way for a more inclusive future."
